GUILDERLAND — At its September meeting, the Guilderland Garden Club installed officers for 2017 to 2019.  The installation was officiated by Elizabeth Walker, second assistant director for District III of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State.

She spoke about the transfer of leadership of the club and how each member of the organization blends into one harmonious group with increased friendship, devotion, and strength.

Each of the officers received a pair of garden gloves, which represents the hands that are needed to carry out the responsibilities of their office and stresses the need for members to work hand in hand for the betterment of the Guilderland Garden Club.

Following the installation everyone enjoyed a potluck lunch.

Editor’s note: Merril-Lee Lenegar is the second vice president of the Guilderland Garden Club.
