He died on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, with his wife, Linda, by his side. He was 79.

He was born on Jan. 18, 1945 in Gloversville, New York to the late Gordon and Helen Conway Sornberger. He was a graduate of the Utica Free Academy, Class of 1963.
