To the Editor:

Our veterans are hosting our first fundraiser since the pandemic set in. We’re having a chicken barbecue on Saturday, Oct. 3.

This reopening event is drive-through only at the Boyd Hilton VFW Post on Mill Street in Altamont, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Each dinner will include a quarter of a chicken (choice of light or dark meat), baked potato, corn on the cob, roll, and dessert. The donation is $9. All donations will help to support our local veterans.
