52 VCSD students earn AP Scholar
VOORHEESVILLE — Fifty-two students at Clayton A. bouton High School here earned AP Scholar Awards. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on Advanced Placement Exams for college level courses.
About 22 percent of the 2.2 million students worldwide who took AP Exams performed at a sufficiently high level to also earn an AP Scholar Award.
Seven voorheesville students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average score of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. These students are: Elisabeth A. Bablin, Rachel L. Blow, Rachael Bogdany, Devin G. Freeman, Lance B. Luther, Trevor McHugh, and Olivia Suozzo.
Twenty-three students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are: Elisabeth Bablin, Amanda M. Bache, Rachel L. Blow, Rachael Bogdany, Adriana R. Brusgul, Clarence Chen, James F. Connolly, Gabriel DeFreest-Rondeau, Alexios Fisher, Daphane A. Freeman, Devin G. Freeman, Alexander S. Giordano, Eliza H. Jobin-Davis, Stephany Keenan, Camryn E. Kelley, Lance B. Luther, Trevor McHugh, Thomas L. Minnick, Laura K. Patak, Olivia Suozzo, Mark E. Weber, Sam M. Weiss, and Molly E. Wolford.
Four students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. These students are: Madeline E. Conroy, Stefanie M. Defronzo, Spencer Kranz, and Shane M. Wittman.
Eighteen students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher. The AP Scholars are: Olivia Biggé, Ryan C. Burczak, Mia A. Crisafulli, Talia R. Crisafulli, Laura M. DiVirgilio, Sara M. Gannon, Abigail Goldfarb, Sadye Goldfarb, Grace E. Hotopp, Allie K. McMillen, Nicholas R. Murphy, Jennifer Pangburn, Jackson R. Roussin, Edmund F. Schultz, Jacob A. Seaburg, Phoebe M. Siegel, Meghan Sweeney, and Jason Y. Wang.
Of this year’s award recipients at Clayton A Bouton High School, seven have another year of high school remaining and could possibly earn a higher level AP Scholar award. These students are: Olivia Biggé, Ryan Burczak, Clarence Chen, Mia Crisafulli, Sara Gannon, Abigail Goldfarb, and Jason Y.Wang.
