Wilson to speak on restoring historic sites

To the Editor:

Greetings all. You are cordially invited to the Sept. 25 meeting of the Berne Historical Society. Our annual meeting for election of officers will convene at 6:30 p.m. Following the business section, please join us for the main event: “Restoring Historical Sites,” presented by Larry Wilson, architect.

With the Berne Public Library’s 2017 theme of  “Building A Better World,” Judy Petrosillo, the library’s director, has secured this program for a riveting learning experience.

Witnessing the demolition of White Sulphur Springs this past summer brings to mind questions of why some historic sites are saved, while others are destroyed without a pimple of protest.

Be prepared to add to your vast knowledge base or have your understanding of historic restoration confirmed. Discover, share, create.

A bevy of refreshments will materialize to wrap up our time together. Thank you.
