Ancestry DNA and tests like it have become increasingly popular. Their uses are wide and varied, with new ways to implement the information they provide constantly being found.

For the New Scotland Historical Association’s first program of the season, Lisa Dougherty, professional genealogist, will discuss how you can discover more about your ancestry and yourself.

This informative and helpful program will be presented on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Wyman Osterhout Community Center in New Salem on Old New Salem Road.
