Single-car crash fatal on Krumkill

BETHLEHEM — A 37-year-old man was killed early Wednesday morning when his car crashed into a utility pole on Krumkill Road, according to a release from the Bethlehem Police.

Ryan T. Collins, of Albany, was heading west in the area of 185 Krumkill when the accident occurred. Police responded just after 5 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Albany County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated by members of the Bethlehem Police Department and the Albany County Crash Investigation Team, said the press release, which came out on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 18

  • The town executed a lease agreement at its March meeting that would charge Michael Stanton, of Stanton Farms, LLC,  $45 per acre for 216 tillable acres at the historic Heath Farm property. Stanton Farm, which had already farmed the land under an agreement with the previous property owner, was the only applicant for the lease.
