Free Fall Festival brings our community together

To the Editor:
Altamont Community Tradition is excited to announce our second annual Altamont Fall Festival! Join us in Orsini Park on Saturday, Sept. 23 (rain date: Sept. 30) for a day full of fun activities for everyone.

Activities kick off at 10:30 a.m. with our very own, amazing local author and historian, Keith Lee, who will be giving walking tours of the village. Space is limited, so please email Dan Barker at , to reserve your spot!

Our activities in Orsini Park begin at noon. Come enjoy an afternoon full of food, music, face-painting, balloon animals, bounce house, games, pumpkin-painting, and so much more! Yankee Holler will be providing music from noon to 2 p.m., Shadow Estate from 2 to 3 p.m., and Ferriday from 3 to 4 p.m.

All activities in the park are free including everybody’s favorite cider donuts, cider, and popcorn courtesy of Phillips Hardware and the Altamont Elementary PTA! Food vendors (Main Street Café and Village Pizza) and trucks will also be on site with a variety of hot and cold food items for purchase.

Our wonderful librarian, Joe Burke, will be offering tours of the library. Take a picture at our photo-op spot complete with fall decor!

Historic Altamont will be on site with a table and information on the history of our village. The Caring Closet will be on site with an information table as well as a drop box for donations.

A huge thank you to our incredibly generous sponsors; without them this event would not be possible! Our Gold sponsor is Leanne Royer-CM Fox Real Estate.

Silver sponsors include Fenimore Asset Management, Phillips Hardware and Phillips Mini Mart, Ritmo Construction, and Christina Center-Gabler Realty. Our Bronze sponsor is St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Our Community Sponsors are One Love Preschool, Agleam Clean, D2 Creative Studios, Salon 146, Farm Share Studio, T.M. Byxbee Co. CPAs, Remington Blacktop, the Altamont Reformed Church, and Maple On The Lake. A special thank you goes out to Sisson Farms for our fall harvest décor!

We look forward to a day that brings our community together! We hope to see you there!
