New Scotland allows free disposal

NEW SCOTLAND — Residents with storm debris will have until Oct. 1 to bring it to the town’s transfer station for no cost.

The town board voted unanimously on Wednesday to extend the deadline, initially made for Sept. 15, in order to give storm-battered residents more time for their cleanup.  The town is maintaining the two Dumpsters for refuse collection as well.
