Kellin Rowlands will put people before party

To the Editor:

I am and have always been a proud Democrat. I am very disturbed by the action of the Bethlehem Democratic Committee.

Not once but twice this group challenged the signatures of the good citizens of Bethlehem who signed a petition for Kellin Rollins, an unaffiliated, independent candidate for the Bethlehem Town Board. Fourteen of these good citizens signed yet another document in front of a notary saying, “Yes, this is my signature.” And yet, the Bethlehem Democratic Committee still challenged their signatures!

What is wrong with our Bethlehem Democratic Committee? Both challenges were thrown out by the courts.

Did I mention that the Bethlehem Democratic Committee did not challenge one signature for the Republican candidate? Is this the Democratic Committee that we want to represent us?

Maybe it’s time to change the makeup of the Bethlehem Democratic Committee and the town board to better represent the people of Bethlehem.

Kellin Rowlands will put people before party as he has no party affiliation. His primary concern is to represent you, the good citizens of the town of Bethlehem. Why not think about voting for Kellin in November?

Let’s begin a change in Bethlehem where the people’s concerns are what drives the town board, not pressure from the Albany County Democratic Committee, the governor’s office, or national party politicians. People before party! Please vote for Kellin Rowlands in November.
