To the Editor:

The Christ Child Society of Albany is planning its annual baby shower for Saturday, Oct. 4, at noon at St. Madeleine Sophie Parish Center at 3500 Carman Road in Guilderland.

The needs of our Layette Program continue to grow, and we extend a warm thank-you for your donation in assisting over 700 newborn babies in our community who are in need. All are welcome.

The layettes we distribute include an afghan or quilt (36 by 42 inches or 40 by 40 inches), receiving blankets, disposable diapers (newborn and size 1), onesies (3 to 6 months), sleepers (3 to 6 months), hooded bath towels and washcloths, handmade sweater sets with hats and/or booties and baby board books.

We ask that you bring your layette items as a donation unwrapped.

Everyone, including friends and family, is invited to join us for a warm and welcoming luncheon featuring the culinary talents of our members. Please let us know if you are coming by Thursday, Sept. 25, by calling Anna Marie Montanaro at 518-269-2315 or emailing miema@loveable.com.
