Come to the annual Hawk Watch at the Thacher Park Overlook

Thacher Park’s Overlook is a prime spot for viewing a variety of fall-migrating raptors.

Join us on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Thacher Park Overlook for our annual Hawk Watch event! Get up-close with live raptor demonstrations and ID help from expert birders.

Participants can also enjoy crafts, face-painting, accessible seated birding, informational tables from local outdoor organizations, food from Buena Comida & Gino’s Italian Ice, and more! There's something for everyone from novice to experienced birder at this family-friendly event.

This event is accessible to Nature Bus riders. Girl Scouts can reserve a special booklet and Hawk Watch badge to celebrate Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend.

No registration is required, but Girl Scouts are encouraged to call ahead to ensure there will be enough booklets and badges. Call 518-872-0800. We'll see you there!
