Presbyterian church celebrates 220th anniversary

RENSSELAERVILLE — The Rensselaerville Presbyterian Church will celebrate the 220th anniversary of its first worship with a special service on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 4 p.m. in the church.

The program will include readings from the church history written by Barbara Dudley and Nancy Chase; remembrances from former moderators, the reverends Robert Lamar, James Miller, Donna Elia and Joseph Shook; a hymn commemorating the centennial of the Declaration of Independence that was sung in the church on July 2, 1896; and special music by the Village Voices.

A reception will follow in Conkling Hall. The entire community is invited. Please bring family, neighbors, and friends.
