Felthousen’s Florist opens at Stuyvesant Plaza

GUILDERLAND — Felthousen’s Florist and Greenhouse has opened a third location at Stuyvesant Plaza in Guilderland.

The 1,700-square-foot shop offers an array of custom floral arrangements, as well as a wide range of fresh-cut, silk and permanent flowers; plants; cards; chocolates and gift items. The family-owned business will hire four full and part-time employees at the new location.

Felthousen’s Florist takes over the space formerly occupied by Emil J. Nagengast Florist. After 25 years at Stuyvesant Plaza, Emil J. Nagengast Florist is consolidating its operations and will continue to service the Capital Region from its flagship location on the corner of Ontario and Benson streets in downtown Albany.

Felthousen’s Florist and Greenhouse opened in 1913 and is currently operated by three generations of Felthousen family members. In addition to the new Stuyvesant Plaza location, Felthousen’s Florist and Greenhouse will continue to serve customers from its locations in Niskayuna and Cohoes.
