Crawl into the mind of a quilter and find a whole lot of happy
To the Editor:
September activities are beginning to fill every weekend. In case you missed the announcement, the “Artistic Quilt and Needlework Show of Knox, Berne and Surrounding Communities” is set for Sunday, the 16th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the air-conditioned premises of the Knox Town Hall. Hosting the event are the Berne and Knox historical societies.
If you could crawl into the mind of a quilter, you’d probably find a whole lot of happy. How do they do it? Patience, creativity, and passion, that’s how. Displaying quilts by talented fiber artists and lovers of the craft continues to be crazy popular. You can find New York quilting guilds and clubs going strong from Afton to Windham.
This quilt and needlework show in the Knox locale springs into its fourth exhibit. Hanging racks made by Knox Historical Society members are at the ready to splash the room with color and style. Contact Donna Gwin at 518-872-2161 if you are interested in being part of the expo.
