Let’s show there is support for football in the Helderbergs

To the Editor:

As I sit here, reflecting back over the last five or six years, it is amazing to me that finally, after all the hard work of so many parents, administrators, community members, teachers, friends, and family, there will be a varsity football game played at Berne-Knox-Westerlo.  First time in nearly 70 years.

I have been told over and over again that it would never fly. Well, it's here and I’m hoping the community comes out to support the team. Let's show there is an interest here in the Helderbergs for football.

Please come out Saturday to BKW and show the love for the Helderberg Valley football team coaches Morin, Bacon, Slinn, and Sainato along with all the others who have worked so hard to get this team up and going.  Kick off is at 1 p.m.; the field is down by the track.

Stop by to watch a play or two, and to support the booster club and our players.  Thank you to all that have made this possible.
