The State University of New York college at Oswego has awarded Merit Scholarships — of $3,000 over four years — to a these local students who are starting at the college this fall:

— Malik T. Matthews of Altamont, majoring in philosophy-psychology, last attended Green Tech High Charter School;

— Jacob E. Sheingold of Delmar, majoring in business administration, last attended Bethlehem Central High School;

— Sara M. Fuller of Schenectady, majoring in biology, last attended Guilderland High School;

— Chanel Kung of Slingerlands, majoring in operations management and information systems, last attended Bethlehem Central High School; and

— Shannon E. Stone of Westerlo, majoring in zoology, last attended Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School.
