To the Editor:

The Friends of the Berne Library have been sponsoring “Music in the Park” events in the Berne Town Park for many years. The Friends invite local music groups to play and the Friends sell refreshments in the food booth.

Proceeds raised from the food sales support Berne Library programs and projects. The Friends of the Berne Library are not affiliated with any political party.

The Berne Republican Committee sponsored a music program in the Berne Town Park on Aug. 23 and used the name Music in the Park. The Friends of the Berne Library would like to clarify that we are not affiliated with this music event.
