NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids for the purchase by the Berne Fire District of a 1750 GPM pumper with 1250 gallon pumping capacity will be received at the Berne Firehouse, 30 Canaday Hill Road, Berne NY 12023, untill 7:15 p.m., September 19, 2017. At 7:30 p.m. September 19, 2017, bids for the vehicle will be publicly read aloud.

Specifications for the new pumper may be obtained by interested manufacturers of such apparatus free of charge by contacting the Berne Fire District Secretary, Bridget Minute, at .

Abid bond or certified check in the amount of at least (5%) percent of the amount of the bid must accompany bids submitted.

The Berne Fire District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid best suited for its specific needs.

Bids will be binding sixty (60) days subsequent to bid opening.

Bidding shall be in accordance with the instruction to bidders.

VOORHEESVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOOL TAX COLLECTOR’S NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that I have received the tax list and warrant for the collection of school taxes in the Voorheesville Central School District.

I will receive all taxes for a period of 60 days beginning September 1, 2017 at the place listed below. During the 30 day period from September 1, 2017 through September 30, 2017 inclusive, there will be no penalty charge for the collection of the tax.

From October 1, 2017 through October 31, 2017, in accordance with Section 2130 of the Education Law and Section 1328 of the Real Property Tax Law, penalty will be charged at a rate of 2%.

No collections will be accepted after October 31, 2017.

Postmarks of October 31, 2017 will be accepted.

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Town of New Scotland, New York will hold a public hearing pursuant to Chapter 190, Article IX, Section 190-73 of the Zoning Law on the following proposition:

A Public Hearing for Variance Application # 514

1) Variance Application # 514: Application submitted by Hudson Valley Italian Rest. Inc. requesting relief from Article II, Section 190-32 (B-2) & (C-5) of the Town of New Scotland Zoning law to allow for a sign detached from the new restaurant to be constructed 12’ feet inside the front setback for a sign to allow for it to be located 28 feet from the center line of the road where the original sign was located.

The applicant is also seeking 39 square feet of relief to allow the detached sign to be 64 square feet in area. The proposed sign is located on a lot owned by Hudson Valley Italian Restaurant Inc., is located in the Commercial Hamlet District of Feura Bush at 1368 Indian Fields Road, and is identified as New Scotland tax parcel id # 107.2-2- 54.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to resolution of the Town Board, Town of New Scotland, Albany County, New York sealed price quotes for Town of New Scotland Highway Garage Roof Repairs will be received at the office of the Town Clerk at Town Hall, Town of New Scotland, County of Albany, 2029 New Scotland Road Slingerlands, N.Y. 12159, until 2:00 P.M. on the 31st day of August, 2017 at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Quotes will be submitted in duplicate in sealed envelopes which shall bear on the face thereof the name and address of the company and title, “Quote for Highway Garage Roof”.
