County Legislature needs to be heard on the fate of Dr. Migden and her patients

To the Editor:

I am extremely upset to see what is happening to Hedy Migden, our doctor. Who are the St. Peter’s Health Partners/Trinity Health administrators? In 2000, I introduced Resolution No. 9 to the Albany County legislature, which urged Albany Medical Center to delay the closing of the Altamont Health Center to forestall the disruption of medical care to the patients from Altamont and the surrounding Hilltown area. That resolution passed unanimously.

This time, there has been no such resolution. Why? The legislature needs to be heard on the fate of Dr. Migden and her 7,000 patients.
