PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Altamont Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on August 22, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Altamont Village Community Room, 115 Main Street, Altamont, New York, to hear all interested persons on the proposed application of Robert Spring for an area variance pursuant to Article IV of the Village of Altamont Zoning Law, Subsection 355-24c. to allow an approximate 35 feet of 6-foot-high fencing in the front yard. INVITATION TO BID 
Village of Voorheesville - Water Main Replacement - Voorheesville Avenue, Center Street, and Pleasant Street 
Sealed Bids will be received at the office of the Village of Voorheesville, 29 Voorheesville Ave, Voorheesville, New York 12186 until 2:00pm local time on September 7, 2023. Bid will be opened and reviewed publicly for: 
VILLAGE OF VOORHEESVILLE - WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT - VOORHEESVILLE AVENUE, CENTER STREET, AND PLEASANT STREET 
29 VOORHEESVILLE AVE, VOORHEESVILLE, NEW YORK 12186 
Work shall include, but is not limited to, the installation of approximately 3,000 feet of 8” HDPE water main by directional drill along Voorheesville Avenue (CR306), Center Street, and Pleasant Street, including re-establishing water service to 48 properties. The work includes associated restoration including road paving along Village streets. The project will also require obtaining a permit from Albany County DPW. 
Work of the Contract at the site shall be scheduled to commence no later than November 30, 2023. The Project has developed the following schedule for Substantial and Final Completion. Substantially Completed on or before May 15, 2024, and final completion on or before June 30, 2024. 
The Village of Voorheesville will award a single Prime Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis. 
There will be no Pre-bid Conference. 
Bids should not include New York State sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. 
Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. 
Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. 
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. 
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Orders No. 11246 and No. 11375 which pertains to nondiscrimination in employment. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under these orders are explained in the Bidding and Contract Documents.

This document invites contractors to bid on an Individual Prime Contract to complete the Vestibule and  Window Improvements for the existing Voorheesville Public Library.

A pre-bid meeting and walk-through will be scheduled for 10:00am on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the  Library’s entrance.

Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of forty-five (45)  calendar days after submission.
