Clarksville Heritage Day features Native American storyteller

NEW SCOTLAND — Clarksville Heritage Day will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to  3 p.m. at the Clarksville Community Church, on the Delaware Turnpike in Clarksville.

This is a Clarksville Historical Society fundraiser. Admission is free.

Perry Ground, a member of the Turtle Clan of the Onondaga tribe, will tell stories. Vendors will be on hand and there will be a raffle with a grand prize of $1,000, and four other prizes. Garage sales will be held throughout the hamlet.

Fair-goers can have breakfast, lunch, and ice cream.

The Onesquethaw Fire Company will put on demonstrations as will the rescue squad. Reptile Adventure will display snakes and turtles.
