Awards and Achievements

These local students have recently distinguished themselves:
— Daniel B. Schuch of Slingerlands, is among more than 175 students who presented the Freshman Innovation Project at the Western New England University College of Engineering’s 2016 Emerging Expo held on the University campus. Schuch’s project is entitled “ERBS: Electromagnetic Repulsion Breaking System”;

— Cameron Burdgick, from Guilderland High School, participated in the Engineering Scholars Program at Michigan Technological University, a highly-competitive scholarship program offering a week long look at engineering careers in areas like mechanical, computer, environmental, electrical, chemical, biomedical, geological and materials.
The students accepted into this program received a scholarship valued at more than $1,000 to cover tuition, room and board, and supplies;
