Honors and Grads

 

These local students were named to the dean’s list from their college or university for the spring 2020 semester:
 

— Grace Newton of Voorheesville, majoring in professional writing at Champlain College in Vermont with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

— Matthew Payne of East Berne, majoring in creative media at Champlain College in Vermont with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

— Hannah DeMarco of Schenectady, at Hofstra University with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

— Raven Gonzalez of Schenectady, at Hofstra University with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

— Lily Warford of Delmar, at Hofstra University with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

— Kristina Belser of Altamont, is a graduate of C A Bouton Junior Senior High School, majoring in criminal justice at State University of New York in Delhi with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

— Brittany M. Hammond of Slingerlands, is a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School, majoring in nursing at State University of New York in Delhi with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher; and

— Kaitlyn Peck of Westerlo, is a graduate of Berne-Knox-Westerlo Secondary School, majoring in event management at State University of New York in Delhi with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
 

These local students have recently earned diplomas:

— Zoe Fisher of Voorheesville, earned a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences at the University of New Haven in Connecticut; and

— Luke Jackson of Guilderland earned a master of arts in counseling at Harding University in Arkansas.

 

One local student, Emma DeFrancesco of Slingerlands, majoring in Spanish and psychology, has been inducted into the Sigma Delta Pi Honor Society at College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts.
