Luncheon features speakers from the Animal Protective Foundation

The New York Capital District Christian Women’s Connection is sponsoring a Red, White & Blue Luncheon on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at the Guilderland Elks Lodge at 3867 Route 146 (Carman Road) beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Reservations are necessary no later than Aug. 3, and cancellations a must. Please call Nancy at 518-869-0642. On the menu this month is a turkey sub with pasta salad. The cost is $16 inclusive (cash only, please).

This month’s luncheon features both Deb Balliet, executive director, and Amy Duskiewicz, shelter director, from the Animal Protective Foundation. They will be speaking about services they provide to the community, including those to seniors.

There will be special music with the dynamic Peter Jorgenson who will entertain with guitar and voice, and special speaker Sharon Palmer, a perfectionist, who tried unsuccessfully to be super-mom. She writes poetry and music and will tell us how she became a musician who finally found the right key.

Come and join us! Come and bring a friend or your significant other.  They’ll be glad you did!
