Our laws are screwed up

To the Editor:

This isn’t just a letter to the editor. It’s to anyone who cares to accept it or reject it.

In the news lately there have been killings all over the United States, but most recently including yesterday and today in Albany and Schenectady.

A segment of society wants to blame accessibility, whether it be a gun, a knife or any other weapon. It’s not the weapon that’s guilty. It’s the person.

Our laws are screwed up. Make the killer, he or she, pay the maximum price: their life and let it be violent and publicized.

Weapons don’t kill. People do.
