Some board members make decisions for the good of the town

To the Editor:

I wish to thank Aimee Burnside, Rich Filkins, and Matt Kryzak for voting for Karla Weaver, the current deputy town clerk, to replace the retiring town clerk, Kathy Spinnato.

Unlike the town supervisor, they recognize the value of having an experienced town resident as the clerk.  She has worked in the clerk’s office for the past five years and is qualified to issue licenses and certificates and collect taxes.

It is nice to see that at least some of the town board members are making decisions based on what is good for the town residents.
