VOORHEESVILLE — The Voorheesville Village Quilters will present their 2018 Quilt Show, “Joined by Threads VIII,” on July 14  and 15 at St. Matthew’s Parish Center in Voorheesville.

The Village Quilters will shares their handiwork with the community with approximately 150 quilts in this biennial showcase. The St. Matthew’s Parish Center is air-conditioned and located on 29 Mountainview Street.

The quilt show is open on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, July 15, from noon to 4 p.m.  There is plenty of parking.

Along with the quilt show, there will be vendors, a quilt to be raffled, other raffles, an exhibit of our “Road” challenge quilts, and a scavenger hunt for children. The quilt to be raffled is made from hand-dyed solids.

“Ryan’s Case for Smiles” is a charity group that makes pillowcases for children hospitalized with life-threatening illnesses. The group will be at the quilt show and everyone can join in the sewing.

The donation is $5. Proceeds from the quilt show are donated to three local charities. For more information, contact Joyce Laiosa: jrlaiosa@gmail.com.
