Work is scheduled to occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. north of the Delmar Bypass, and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. south of the Delmar Bypass through the middle of July.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones., says a release from the DOT, noting that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of a driver’s license.

The DOT also reminds motorists to move over a lane, if safely possible, or slow down significantly whenever encountering roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber, or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.
