‘Unity for our Community’ is definitely what Guilderland needs
To the Editor:
I thank Guilderland residents so much for the opportunity to serve you over the last 20 years as your receiver of taxes and town clerk. As many of you know, it always brought a smile to my face to get to know you and to have the opportunity to serve you at Guilderland Town Hall.
It was a wonderful experience to work with and for all of you these past two decades in a town that I have loved and enjoyed living in and raising my family.
Working with Supervisor Ken Runion and Supervisor Peter Barber, we have been able to do a lot of great work to improve our town, offer more services to the community, and keep the town’s portion of your tax bill reasonable compared to other communities in Albany County.
To continue the work that Supervisor Barber has started with my successor, Lynne Buchanan, I think we need a strong team. Retiring town Councilwoman Pat Slavick was one of the most amazing elected officials I have ever worked with, and though she didn’t always take the public credit, Pat was a driving force behind many of the good things that have happened in Guilderland since 2000. We will miss Pat serving on the board.
But I know that to keep the town moving forward in a positive direction and continue the work that Pat started, we will need to vote for Paul Pastore and Amanda Beedle. I have had the opportunity to work side by side with both and I know how dedicated they are to serving our town. Their campaign slogan has really stuck with me: “Unity for our Community” is definitely what Guilderland needs.
So on Tuesday, June 22, I hope you’ll join me in voting for Paul Pastore and Amanda Beedle.
