Ruggles holds final recital with Kingsland

ALTAMONT — On Sunday, June 26, at 2 p.m. Altamont Reformed Church at 129 Lincoln Ave., will host Bobby Ruggles.

He will be holding his final voice recital with Diane Kingsland before leaving Altamont for Boston where he will attend graduate school for communication sciences and disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals in Charlestown.

The recital will showcase a variety of musical styles including: classical, American folk, religious songs, and contemporary and classic show tunes.  Highlighted will be songs from the musicals: “Sweeney Todd,” “Carousel,” “Finian's Rainbow,” “Into the Woods,” and “Anything Goes.”

Ruggles will also be performing a set of pieces composed by local composer James Corigliano.

Following the recital, a reception will be held in the Altamont Reformed Church Fellowship Hall. All are welcome and there is no cost for either the recital or the reception.  Please call Ruggles at (518) 982-7806 email him at if you are planning to attend the reception.
