KNOX — A 47-year-old woman died after a boat she was in with another person capsized on Thompsons Lake on June 4, according to a press release from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman, who was not publicly identified, became unconscious “a few minutes after struggling with the boat,” the release says, adding that she and the man she was with, who was also not named, were assisted by neighbors on the lake who pulled them to shore and tried to resuscitate the woman.

She was declared dead at Albany Medical Center.
