To the Editor:

The Friends of the Berne Library are hosting an Ice Cream Social on Sunday, June 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Berne Town Park.

You can purchase a unique, handmade ceramic bowl and fill it with ice cream and all of the toppings for $10. The family price is $20 for one ceramic bowl and paper cups for the kids.

The bowls have been made by Berne-Knox-Westerlo students and community members with the help and expertise of BKW High School art teacher Rachel Empie. The ice cream is courtesy of Stewart’s Shops.

Funds raised at this event will fund programs for children at the Berne Public Library. Hope to see you there!
