Join us at the Pucker Street Fair for family fun

To the Editor:

The 2019 Town of Knox Pucker Street Fair is next weekend already! We hope the entire town of Knox and surrounding communities will come out and enjoy this family-fun event at the Knox Town Park.

Admission and parking is free! We are asking all fairgoers to bring any non-perishable goods to benefit our local food pantry.

Below you will find a schedule of events slated for the three days of family fun.

Friday, June 21, 6 to 10 p.m.:

— 7 p.m.: Skydiver Landing Kick-Off; and

— 7 to 10 pm: DJ Kevin Goodemote.

Saturday, June 22, from 1 to 10 p.m.:

— 1 to 3 p.m.: Knox Historical Society Tours;

— 1 to 7 p.m.: Dunk Tank;

— 2 to 6 p.m.: Knox Fire Department Chicken BBQ;

— 6 to 10 p.m.: Live Band “Flash Back”; and

— 9:15pm(ish): Fireworks Display.

Sunday, June 23, from 1 to 5 p.m.:

— 1 to 4 p.m.: Classic Car Show (Awards announced at 4 p.m.); and

— 1 to 4 p.m.: Pony Rides.

All-day events include:​

— Rides by Family Fun Amusements;

— Variety of food vendors;

— Games and Raffles;

— Merchant tents;

— Helderberg Mountain Brewing Company Beer Tent; and

— Ducks Unlimited Merchandise.

Parking that is accessible to people with handicaps will be located at the town park and in front of the town hall. Limited non-handicap parking will also be available at the town hall.

All other parking will be at the Knox Reformed Church, along Berne-Altamont Road and other designated areas noted with signs. Parking is also available near the lower end of the town park off of Street Road for those who would like to explore our beautiful park on the walk up to the fair.

Volunteers will be on hand every day in red shirts to assist with parking, to answer questions, and to direct fairgoers to various events and activities.
