LEGAL NOTICE
RFP--The Berne Fire District is requesting proposals from qualified independent certified public accountants or independent public accountants to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2022. It is the District’s responsibility to prepare the required components of the financial statements to be audited, not the auditor. The audit is to be conducted in accordance with US generally accepted auditing standards and the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller of the United States. 
INQUIRIES concerning this scope of the RFP should be addressed to Richard Recor, Berne Fire District Treasurer, at PO Box 41, Berne NY, 12023, or via email  at
and postmarked or time-stamped by 6 pm, June 15, 2023. WRITTEN PROPOSALS must be received by the Fire District Secretary Manuel Mosbey at 48 Tabor Road, Berne NY, 12023, by 6:00 PM, July 1, 2023. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted.
