Felony drug and gun charges follow domestic incident

BETHLEHEM — On May 23, an Albany man was arrested on felony gun and drug charges after a domestic incident in Selkirk two months earlier.

Christopher M. Waters, 34, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with physical evidence — all felonies.

Waters fled the scene after the March 23 domestic incident, according to a release from the Bethlehem Police, and his vehicle was shortly located at a Glenmont apartment complex.

A .22 caliber pistol and a container of cocaine were found in the area near Waters, the release said, and Bethlehem detectives were able to show the pistol and the cocaine belonged to Waters.

Waters was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court by Justice Andrew Kirby and remanded to Albany County’s jail. A return date was set for June 4.
