Garden club invites you to learn about dahlias

To the Editor:

The Guilderland Garden Club will be holding its monthly meeting at the Guilderland Town Hall on June 9. The business portion of the meeting will begin at 10 a.m.

At 11:00  a.m., there will be  a presentation by Lee Ryan, Albany County Master Gardener. Learn how to plant dahlia tubers for optimal blooms and learn how to care for these magnificent and showy plants.

Lee will also teach us the best methods for cutting dahlias for arrangements and how to overwinter tubers for continued enjoyment year after year.

The public is invited to attend. We are an active group with a variety of things to do.

John B. Haluska

Second Vice President
