To the Editor:

The Knox Town Board and the Knox Youth Council would like to invite you to join us at the Summertime Kickoff and Campout on June 4 at the Knox Town Park.

The fun begins at 2 p.m. with face-painting, games, crafts, activities, and a bounce house. The Albany County Sheriff’s deputies will be visiting, conducting a free car-seat check and providing the opportunity to explore a patrol car and to meet a K-9 officer and her four-legged partner.

A community dinner follows at 6 p.m., followed by more contests and s’mores.

The evening will be capped with a fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m.

Please consider joining our most adventurous families in an overnight camping experience in the Knox Town Park (pre-registration is required for campers).
