A Public Hearing for Variance Application # 524

Variance Application # 524: Application Submitted by Pat Cherko and Associates requesting relief from Article II, Section 190-15 (B) of the Town of New Scotland’s Zoning Law to allow for a second story addition and front porch to be constructed within the rear set back on a corner lot. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Voorheesville Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 7:00PM at Voorheesville Fire Department, 12 Altamont Road.

The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to present the updated draft plan from the Comprehensive Planning Committee and solicit comments from village residents and property owners regarding the Village’s Draft Comprehensive Plan.  The Draft Comprehensive Plan will be available for review to the public at the Village Office, 29 Voorheesville Ave during regular business hours, at the Voorheesville Public Library, and on the Village’s website: www.villageofvoorheesville.com

A Board of Trustees workshop meeting will follow the Public Hearing.

LEGAL NOTICE

  PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Voorheesville Board of Trustees voted on a resolution to create a “Streetlight Renovation Reserve Fund”. The purpose of this Reserve Fund is to accumulate moneys to finance the cost of a specific capital improvement for conversion of Voorheesville Streetlight to LED lighting.

The estimated maximum cost of such capital improvement is $410,000.

Except as otherwise provided by law, expenditures from the Streetlight Renovation Reserve Fund shall be made only for the purpose for which the Reserve Fund is established. No expenditure shall be made from this Reserve Fund without the approval of the Board of Trustees and such additional actions or proceedings as may be required by Section 6-c of the General Municipal Law and any other law.

This resolution is subject to permissive referendum pursuant to subdivision 4 of Section 6-c of the General Municipal Law.  The Clerk-Treasurer is directed to post and publish a notice setting forth the date of adoption of this Resolution and its purpose and effect, indicating that it is subject to a permissive referendum.

Upon the expiration of thirty (30) days, and in the event no Petition is timely filed to have this action submitted to the electors of the Village for their approval or disapproval, the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby directed to transfer from the Village’s General Fund Unreserved Fund Balance to the Streetlight Renovation Reserve Fund the amount of $328,000.
