Born in Schenectady, Mr. Dennison was the son of the late C. Leslie and Mary (née Middleton) Dennison. He graduated from Guilderland High School and received his associate’s degree from Hudson Valley Community College.

“Marv dedicated himself to the community for 40 years as a member of the Rotterdam District #2 Volunteer Fire Department, where he proudly served a term as chief,” his family wrote in a tribute. The Dennisons spent summers traveling with their family, especially to Salisbury Beach and the Thousand Islands. “Charlotte loved admiring the beauty of lighthouses and the ocean,” their family wrote. “In his younger years, Marv enjoyed drag racing and rebuilding cars. Most recently, you could find him relaxing with his dog, Penny, by his side.

“Charlotte and Marv both cherished family gatherings and never missed an opportunity to gather and celebrate. They were loving parents to their five children and proud grandparents, known affectionately as Meme and Popeye.”
