To the Editor:

This letter is in support of Matt Tedeschi for the upcoming Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School District Board of Education election.

What is a champion? A champion is “a person who fights or argues for a cause or on behalf of someone else” (Google Dictionary 2019). Matt is passionate about our district, our students, and our rural community.

He is someone who understands, and walks, the fine line between spending to better our children’s opportunities and the need for cost savings for our rural families.

Matt has championed our capital-improvements project that provides much needed infrastructure improvements to our schools. This was overwhelmingly approved by our voters and I, for one, am excited to see this project start.

Next Tuesday, I encourage all of our district residents to get out and vote. Vote yes for Matt. Vote for our children’s future.
