Patricia Putman generously shares her time and talents

To the Editor:

I am delighted to be writing to you to voice my support for Patricia Putman’s run for the Voorheesville School Board.

My name is Beth DeAngelis and I am a Voorheesville resident with two children who were educated in the Voorheesville school system. Over the course of the past 15 years living in Voorheesville and participating as an active member of our schools, I have appreciated the commitment, passion, and level of excellence that defines it.

I met Tricia years ago while we were both supporting the Voorheesville Community and School Foundation Board on which she serves as treasurer. In addition, I interacted with Tricia at school board meetings, at the horse barn where our daughters ride, and at Indian Ladder Farms where she and my daughters support the summer educational programming for youth.

Based upon my interactions with Tricia in these capacities, I support her nomination for several reasons:  she has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to our school and broader community, she generously shares her time and talents in ways that benefit the young people in our community, and with 25 years of financial experience and expertise she will undoubtedly support the board with strategic planning efforts in light of changes resulting from COVID-19.

I am encouraged by Patricia Putman’s run for the school board as I know she will do a fine job of supporting the district that our community loves.

Beth DeAngelis
