Town of Rensselaerville

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
The Rensselaerville Water/Sewer Committee on behalf of the Town of Rensselaerville is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to replace fire hydrants in the Rensselaerville Water District.
Scope of Work:
Replace two “Kennedy” brand fire hydrants located at 56 Methodist Hill Road and 4990 Delaware Turnpike (aka State Route 85), Rensselaerville, NY. The vendor must use two “Kennedy” brand hydrants (model no. K81-D) the Water/Sewer District currently has in its possession and source any other parts/materials, as required. 
The fire hydrant located at 4990 SR 85 must be moved away from the road approximately 5 feet. The vendor will coordinate with the district’s Water Operator to determine the exact location of the new hydrant and will source additional pipe length for the extension. 
The vendor must provide their own excavation equipment and advise and/or assist the Water/Sewer Committee with securing permits to conduct work on a state highway, as needed. The hydrant at 56 Methodist Hill Road is located on a town road and will not require permits. 
Finally, the vendor will conduct a full test of the newly installed fire hydrants to ensure proper function and flow. 
Sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Rensselaerville in the Town Hall located at 87
Barger Road, Medusa, New York 12120 until June 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM and opened at 7:15 PM.
Respondents should take caution if U.S. mail or mail delivery services are used for the submission of proposals, mailing should be made in sufficient time for proposals to arrive at the Town Hall, prior to the time and date specified above. Mailed proposals received after 10:00 AM on the designated date will not be considered.
Any questions regarding this proposal must be submitted to Town Clerk Victoria Kraker . Answers will be provided to all interested parties. Corrections or changes to this document will be made only by written addendum; any oral explanation or interpretation shall not be binding. Addenda must be duly acknowledged with any submission.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received in response to the RFP.
