St. John’s Lutheran Church at 140 Maple Avenue in Altamont has an informal Sunday worship service at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m., on Sunday, May 15.

May 15 will be observed as Pentecost Sunday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Three students will be confirmed at the 11 a.m. service:  Kolby LeClair, John McCabe, and Kristopher McCabe.

Sunday school starts at 9:45 a.m.

At the 11 a.m. service, the sermon is titled "Embrace the Relationship," based on  Romans 8:14-17. The choir anthem is   "The Spirit's Gift of Love" by Austin Lovelace
