SELKIRK — Three people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after a plane crashed at the South Albany Airport, according to a Thursday evening release from the Bethlehem Police.

On Friday, police identified the pilot as Jacky Lo, age 28, of Albany, and the two passengers as William Yetto, age 35, of Waterford and Thomas Kieper, age 27, of Niskayuna.

Police responded at about 3:42 p.m. on May 11 and found the plane at the south end of the runway in a tall grassy area, the release said.

The National Transportation Safety board will investigate.

The airport, located at 6 Old School Road in Selkirk, is, according to its website, one of the oldest privately owned public-use airports in New York State, registered with the Federal Aviation Administration in 1946.
