A poem about my mother in honor of all mothers
To the Editor:
Mothers do not get the love and attention that they deserve. I thought Mother’s Day would be a great time to honor all mothers with my poem, “My Mother.”
My Mother
My mother loved me when I was right,
She loved me when I was wrong,
She loved me when I would fight,
She loved me because she was strong.
My mother worked hard for my success,
She crawled on her knees in the field,
She knew one day I would be blessed,
She prayed that I would never yield
To all temptations on the globe
More widespread than ever before,
An angel would come in a robe
To tell of a son she would adore.
I thank her every day
Whether at work or at play,
That God blessed me with a saint
Someone I shall always thank.
My mother gave me a heart,
Where God dwells every day,
I promised to do my part,
To love Him and always pray.
