Voorheesville parade celebrates ‘Love America for All’

To the Editor:

On Saturday, May 27, at 10 a.m. we will honor those who gave all for our freedom.

The parade will kick off from Circle Drive, proceeding down Maple Avenue and ending at the Voorheesville Legion Hall. A memorial ceremony will be held in Nichols Park immediately following.

Refreshments will be served and music provided until 3 p.m. There will be various other activities throughout the day concluding with a fireworks display at 9 a.m.

The theme of this year’s parade is “One America for All.” Navy veteran and former Voorheesville mayor, Jack Stevens, will be the parade’s grand marshall. Any group not already contacted that wish to march should call the Legion at (518) 765-4712 after 4 p.m.
