Methodist Church Notes.
At the Sunday morning service it is planned to present every mother present with a white carnation. The subject of the morning sermon is “Appreciation.” Everyone ought to feel it a privilege and a duty to pay tribute to their mother by attending church.
RAVENA
Memorial day will be fittingly celebrated. The plans of the committee in charge are growing from day to day and they become more significant. The presentation of a flag to the Coeymans school will be a feature of the day. All who can should plan to spend the day at home and make the celebration a great success.
ALTAMONT-SCHENECTADY BUS LINE STARTS MONDAY
A new bus line will begin operations between Altamont and Schenectady on Monday morning, May 10. A Pierce Arrow automobile has been secured for this service and will be equipped with pneumatic tires. Two trips will be made daily, buses leaving Altamont at 8 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.

VILLAGE NOTES
Irving Lainhart, who has been superintendent of St. John’s Lutheran Sunday school for several years, has resigned the office, the resignation taking effect last Sunday. The change from standard to state time in holding the session of the Bible school was responsible for Mr. Lainhart’s decision.
Cleaning Closet a Convenience.
Housewives who have given thought to systematizing their work have found most useful a special cleaning closet in which the implements and supplies necessary for doing this work may be kept in order and ready for use, according to home economics workers at the State college at Ithaca. The housekeeper’s cleaning kit should contain at least the following materials: Ammonia, borax, furniture polish, kerosene, light oil, paraffin, salt, soap, turpentine, washing soda and floor wax.
