Joan Fitzgerald

Joan Fitzgerald, a nurse who loved to read and to watch science fiction movies, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. She was 70.

She was born on Oct. 3, 1945 in Glens Falls, the beloved daughter of the late Edward M. and Doris K. Fitzgerald and the sister of the late Diane R. Fitzgerald.

She graduated from Linton High School in 1963 and worked at Ellis Hospital as a senior licensed practical nurse.

She married Walter W. Bullis in 1968.  They made their home in Schenectady.

She is survived by her daughter, Teri Thomas, and her husband, Patrick; by her son, John Bullis, and his wife, Jeny; by her niece, Michelle Harrell, and her husband, Eric; and by her beloved grandchildren — Jazmin, Jesika, Jaqui Rose, Iain, Erica, and Alexis.

Calling hours were held on Friday, May 6, at the Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont.
