Honors and Achievements

These local students were named to the dean’s list or received a similar honor from their college or university for the fall 2021 semester:

— Annie Quinn of Delmar, at Loyola University in Maryland with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

— Lauren Quinn Delmar, at Loyola University in Maryland with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher;

— John Trosset Delmar,  at Loyola University in Maryland with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher; 

— Emma Tessarzik of Berne, at Elmira College with a grade point average of 3.6 or higher;

— Renee Zieske of Altamont, received scholarship at University of Findlay's in Ohio;

— William Vagianelis of Hamilton, at  Colgate University at Colgate University in Hamilton  with a grade point average of 3.3 or higher;

— Connor Leary of Delmar, at University of Minnesota majoring in contin & prof studies in Minneapolis with a grade point average of 3.6 or higher; 

— Olivia Richardson of Voorheesville, earned mortar board national honor society at England University in Springfield, Massachusetts;

— Erica Friedman of Delmar, majoring in  psychological science at Colgate University in Hamilton with a grade point average of 3.6 or higher; 

— Caitlin Gagan of Slingerlands, majoring in mathematical economics at Colgate University in Hamilton with a grade point average of 3.6 or higher; and

— Lauren Horstmyer of Schenectady, majoring in natural sciences at  Colgate University in Hamilton  with a grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

These local students have recently distinguished themselves:

— Alyssa Chrysler of Voorheesville, majoring in  history & psychology philosophy earned silver level leadership at State University of New York Oneonta; ang

— Emily Norsek of Delmar, majoring in digital & studio art, earned a silver level leadership at State University of New York Oneonta.

One local student, Katie Amato, earned doctor of philosophy in microbiology at University of Wisconsin-Madison, College of Agricultural & Life Science.
